As you might imagine, consistency is key to unlocking your vocal potential. While the real work happens in your rehearsal time between the time that we spend together, to make sure we are all in sync, please take a look at the studio policies below regarding attendance, makeup lessons, and payment.
Attendance and Cancellation Policy
If your child cannot attend a group class, they are welcome to attend virtually or view the recording once it posts in the Student Portal. If you must cancel a private lesson, please do so at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson/class.
For the safety and consideration of us all, I ask that if you are not feeling well that you please stay home. If you show up ill, I will gracefully send you on your way! :) Call, text, or email me to let me know, and then hydrate well, eat some caldo de pollo (o de verdugas si prefieres!), and know that a virtual option (or a makeup lesson for private lessons) is available when you are feeling better!
(Again, students who cannot attend a group class meeting due to illness are always welcome to join virtually or view the recording once it posts in the Student Portal.)
If the instructor must cancel a scheduled class/lesson due to illness or emergency, a virtual makeup class/lesson will be offered. In the event that a virtual makeup class/lesson cannot be scheduled, participants will be refunded for that class/lesson.

Group Classes
If a student is absent from a group class, they have the option to either join virtually or view their class recording in the Student Portal. If your child will be joining virtually, please notify Mrs. H. via email or text at least 30 minutes before the class meeting.
All group classes are recorded to the Student Portal. If a participant must be absent for whatever reason, they are welcome to view the class recording at their convenience.
**Please note that all participants are responsible for payment whether attendance is in-person or virtual.**

Private Lessons
If you must cancel a private lesson, please do so no later than 24 hours before your scheduled lesson/class. Only private lessons cancelled more than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson are eligible for a makeup lesson. (The only exception to this is lessons cancelled within the 24 hour window due to illness.)
Should you need to cancel, you have the option to either keep your scheduled lesson and meet virtually (hosted via the video conferencing app, Zoom) or schedule a makeup lesson at a later date. Makeup lessons can be either in person or virtual.
**Please note that cancelled lessons are still responsible for payment.**

Caregiver Attendance for Minors
There is a lovely waiting room for caregivers to relax in while their child enjoys their lesson/class. I do ask that the adults remain in the waiting room for the duration of the lesson. This allows the children to relax fully without feeling self-conscious. Don't worry, the door to the studio has a large window for you to still keep your precious one in full view! I am a mama myself, so I understand fully! The comfort level of both my students and their grownups is paramount.
Payment Policy
Payment for the full month's lessons/classes is due in full on the first of the month before the scheduled lessons/classes. (Or upon registration if registering for classes after the first of the month) Invoices are emailed 7 days before the first of the month to provide ample time to remit payment. Please note that if payment is not received by that month's first class meeting, lessons for the month will be cancelled and the scheduled time slot will be opened up for other students.
I know that life can take twists and turns, so if you find you cannot make the payment on the scheduled day, please contact me before the first of the month, and we can discuss other arrangements.
Payment for coachings (single lessons in preparation for a performance/event) is due the day of the coaching.
